Description

New GM TV (throttle valve) cable for 89-92 TPI (Tuned Port) engines with a 700R4 transmission.  Some people refer to this as a kick-down cable. This cable attaches to the throttle body and the transmission. This is the cable that controls the shifting of the transmission.  A worn or stretched cable causes late shifting.  These cables have an adjustment on them, which needs to be done properly.  Please consult your factory service manual for the proper procedure.  Rough length flange to flange is 47.5", rough overall length is 51".  Fits the following :
89-91 V8 TPI Corvette
89-92 V8 TPI Camaro (w/ Tuned Port Injection)
89-92 V8 TPI Firebird, Formula, Trans Am, GTA (w/ Tuned Port Injection)
NOTE :
TV cables look similar, they ARE NOT!  They are specific for the year of the transmission as well as the induction (throttle) system, as they are different lengths and attach differently.  If you are not sure what you need, contact us first!  If you state this cable is too short, then you are installing it improperly.  Sometimes, it takes 2 people to install it to prevent the metal clip in the transmission from getting stuck in the transmission, that cable sits IN the TV cable tube!!!!!
