Have used this press myself years ago to "glue" gelatin silver prints onto acid free boards. I also used it to flatten prints by using the weight of the top plate only without heat of course. If you were to press down the handle to flatten prints cold, you'll get wavy and damaged prints. I also rewired the power cord at the time for the original wasn't safe. So the press works great, heats up without problem. It is a heavy piece of equipment therefore I am offering it for "Pick Up Only".
As mentioned above, the top heating plate is 18.5 x 23 inches. I guess the ideal board size is up to 20x24 inches. You might find some literature online for more information.
