    Description

    "The United States of America Bicentennial 1776-1976" stamp and poster set from the U.S. Postal Service, new in its original presentation envelope.  Item MP-1, copyright 1975 by the USPS.  Includes these items:
    > Stamp sheet "The Declaration of Independence, 4 July 1776 at Philadelphia" (from a painting by John Trumbull).  Scott #1687, with five 18-cent stamps and a cancellation mark from the Philadelphia post office on July 4, 1976.
    > Poster (11" wide by 14" tall) with picture of a drum and musket, and artwork of 10 6-cent stamps commemorating U.S. independence.
    > Poster (11" by 14") with artwork of a British Tax Stamp from 1765 and three U.S. postage stamps.  Please note that this poster might have a small light spot on an edge (see picture for example).
    > Poster (11" by 14") of a 1775 letter by Ben Franklin to a member of the British Parliament plus a copy of a U.S. postage stamp with Franklin.
